Growing food in a regenerative way will be one of Growing food in a regenerative way will be one of the most sought-after skills in the 21st century. As the climate continues to change, it will disrupt supply chains and the ability for many existing farmers to produce food. We will desperately need people who know how to grow real food in our cities and at home.

We are very excited to be offering you a chance to win a ticket to attend the Beginner Home Gardening workshop at @kelmarna Gardens on Saturday 13th March, being run by the one and only Yotam Kay of @pakaraka_permaculture (if you don't know them you really should look them up!). In this comprehensive workshop, Yotam will cover essential topics and answer your questions to help you succeed in growing a productive vegetable garden. No prior knowledge or experience is needed! - See link in our bio for the full list and more details.

For your chance to win the ticket (valued at $165), follow us on Instagram and tag a business you think would like to hear about what we do.
The winner will be randomly selected on Friday 5th and we will email you the ticket.

There are many facets to sustainability and the re There are many facets to sustainability and the regeneration of our planet. Transitioning to renewable energy is a major part of that puzzle – most obviously to mitigate climate change, but also to help restore ecosystems and make cities more breathable again. And why not imagine our world with clean renewable energy? Why not believe not only just that we must, but also that we can do it?

It’s easy to think of carbon as inherently probl It’s easy to think of carbon as inherently problematic, but carbon is actually the stuff of life. Plants need it to grow, and by absorbing carbon through photosynthesis and feeding carbon into the soil they sustain the vital ecosystems beneath our feet that supply the nutrients in our food, protect against flooding and drought, and much more. In the process, they also capture carbon from the atmosphere, which now has far too much of it.

All our circumstances are different, but for most All our circumstances are different, but for most of us, there’s a lot more we can do to reduce our use of cars than we think. Often, it’s just a matter of habit. Do you really need your car to drive 1km down the road, or would a bicycle or walk do the trick just fine (not to mention improve your health and well-being)? If you’re driving to work, have you tried finding someone with the same route to organise a car pool? Or is there public transport available? (no parking, and you can be on your phone!) The Climate Change Commissions landmark report (released on Tuesday) highlights the desperate need for Aotearoa to radically change our transport system. And quickly! Be the change you want to see!
